Courage Doesn't Always Look Loud

Sometimes courage looks like checking in on a friend. Sometimes it’s asking for help. Sometimes it’s choosing to keep showing up–even when the year feels long. As we head into the final stretch of the school year, let's end strong by practicing courage. Not the kind that gets applause, but the quiet, everyday bravery that builds connection and changes lives. You’ve shown courage all year–noticing the subtle signs, starting conversations, and creating spaces where others feel safe. Let's finish the year strong–together.

"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow." - Mary Anne Radmacher

As the school year wraps up, it’s time to make your voice heard! Post-surveys for Members are now available. After finishing your Hope Squad lessons for the 2025–2026 school year and before summer break begins, we want to hear from you.

Here are a few ways that you can support your Advisors:

  1. Encourage them to set aside a few minutes for your Squad to complete the survey.
  2. Remind them to visit the Advisor Portal or check their email to find a quick refresher video, slide deck, and easy-to-share survey links.
  3. Visit the Member Portal to take the surveys yourself.

Your feedback helps strengthen the program and ensures student voices stay at the center of everything we do–we love hearing from you!

Spreading Hope Beyond Their School

Featured Activity Photo

(Latta, Oklahoma) Perkins-Tryon High School’s Hope Squad took their impact beyond their own campus. Recently, they visited a neighboring high school to lead presentations in five different classes, focusing on mental health awareness and suicide prevention. By sharing what they’ve learned and creating space for honest conversation, these students are working to break stigma, build connection, and remind others that support is always within reach.

Want to see your Squad featured? Submit your events to our Share Your Hope Form and be entered in a gift card raffle, too!

This month, National Council Member Elle shares her favorite self-care strategy: Exercise!

  • "Whether it's playing lacrosse, weightlifting, riding my bike, or going on a walk, keeping myself active clears my head so I can be the best version of myself.
  • Start small! Just going on a 10-minute walk is better than not taking care of yourself at all. It's not about being the strongest or the fastest, it's about taking time for you!"
