Heart Month, Hope Mission
While Cupid does his thing, Hope Squad is spreading the kind of love that truly changes lives. It shows up in quiet check-ins, honest conversations, and stepping up for others when they need it the most. Every act of care you offer helps create a school culture where no one feels alone.
Once you choose hope, anything’s possible. – Christopher Reeve

Shout-out to Boise High School Hope Squad in Idaho, who showered the school with snowflakes of kindness! This creative activity invited students to pause, reflect, and spread positivity in a simple, meaningful way. Students were given blank snowflake cutouts and encouraged to write positive messages, affirmations, or words of encouragement.
Once completed, the snowflakes were displayed throughout the school—serving as a visible reminder that even during the coldest or toughest seasons, kind words can make a powerful difference.

When focusing on spreading hope and helping others, sometimes Hope Squad Members forget about themselves. Taking care of YOU will allow you to be a better help to others!
This month, National Council Member Andrew, shares his favorite self-care strategeies: Sleep and alone time! - "You can function better if you have good sleep, and having time alone helps you process things.
- Strive to be in bed by 10 p.m. when possible!"

Blueloon by Julia Cook
While depression is often thought of as an adult disease, it's something children may deal with and need help understanding, too. In this book, Blueloon learns about depression and strategies he use to "bounce back" to being the way he used to be: bright, round, and full with a very straight string!
Middle School / Junior High | Glow by Emma Meyer
Glow is an empowering book about anxiety, courage, friendship, and finding your voice–a reminder that even when you're scared, it's still possible to find hope.
